Hiring a babysitter for your precious children can be a daunting task. It means
going through a rigorous process which can be quite demanding, time consuming and
frustrating. We pride ourselves at recruiting only top quality child carers who
can provide a safe environment for your children and have genuine love of children.
Having done an extensive research we have found that some of the leading babysitting
agencies register candidates who have not been CRB checked while others do not interview
the candidates. We are deeply concerned about this and can reassure you we only
register child carers with a min of 2 years professional experience, who have been
CRB checked, hold a valid First Aid Certificate and can provide at least 2 checkable
references. We interview each candidate in person and check the references before
adding them to our database.

childcare near you. We have tailor made options for families according to their
individual needs.
Membership Packages:
Basic Membership:
Sign up for our Babysitting Club to become a member for just £39.99/year and pay
only £4.99 per booking. Offer valid for limited period only.
Gold Membership:
Sign up for our Babysitting Club to become a member for just £119.99/year. This
entitles you to use our babysitting service as frequently as you want and waves
the £4.99 booking fee.
One off Introduction Service:
For a one off fee of just £99.99 , you can choose two babysitters from the three
candidates we put forward to you, who live local to you and when you have chosen
your two babysitters you are free to use them over the year. This means that you
build up a relationship with your babysitters, your children get to know them, and
you don't have a new face each time. View our terms

Important Information For Babysitting Club Members
The babysitting is only offered as an evening service. This is because a large majority
of the babysitters on our database are nannies or teachers in full time employment.
If you require childcare during the day we also supply temporary and emergency nannies.

Booking Information
We will confirm your booking when a Babysitter/Nanny has been appointed.
Cancellations Of Bookings
If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice (48 hours for Bank and Public Holidays)
the minimum four hour charge will apply addition to the booking fee. A rebooking
fee of £4.99 will be charged in case of any change in bookings. Min.four hour charge
will apply.
Contact Numbers
Please ensure that you leave at least two contact numbers with your babysitter in
case of emergency.
Useful Information:
Please ensure that you provide a meal for your sitter if the booking exceeds 5 hours.
For babysitting appointments, ensure to book your babysitter at least 15 minutes
early to discuss your requirements and any special instructions.
Please give them as much information as possible to assist with your needs.
It would also be helpful if you could give them an approximate time of return, and
to let them know if you will be delayed.
Travel Expense:
Our Sitters are responsible for their own travel to and from their babysitting appointment
before 10.30pm. For bookings finishing after 10.30 p.m, or in cases where there
is no reasonable public transport, travel arrangements will need to be made and
paid for in order to ensure our babysitters safety however we will try our best
to find you a local babysitter or someone who drives to and from the babysitting
appointments.
Fee:
For babysitting appointments, a fee of £4.99 is payable per booking to Buttercup
Nannies Limited, please note that for bookings with less than 24 hours notice additional
£4.99 charge will be added to the booking fee. Payment of the hours worked is made
directly to the babysitter in cash. A minimum of four hours booking is charged.
Babysitting Rates:
- Monday to Friday £7/hour
- Saturday and Sunday £8/hour
- Rates are doubled for Bank Holidays, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, New Year and Easter.
